Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced a Rs 15,585 crore ($1.9 billion) investment to expand its India footprint, adding three new Availability Zones across Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Delhi NCR.
This brings AWS total committed investment in India to over Rs 1 lakh crore ($12 billion) — one of the largest foreign tech investments in the country history.
AWS also announced Project JYOTI — a program to train 5 million Indians on cloud and AI skills by 2028.
