What we collect
We collect only the information you give us directly: your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter; your name, email and message when you use our contact or advertising forms; and your name, email and phone number when you register for an event. We do not require an account to read our journalism.
How we use it
- Newsletter emails you asked to receive — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
- Responding to enquiries, tips and advertising requests.
- Managing event registrations, passes and entry validation.
We never sell your personal data.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies for basic site functionality (such as your light/dark theme preference) and, where enabled, Google Analytics to understand aggregate readership and Google AdSense to serve advertising. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in Google's own policies, and you can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings.
Data retention and your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to us. Unsubscribing from the newsletter takes effect immediately. Event registration data is retained for the duration needed to operate the event and our records.
Data security
Data is stored on servers located with our hosting provider and is accessible only to authorised team members. We use HTTPS across the site.
