XREAL AURA is heading to the Indian market, with Fore Excel opening pre-bookings for the company's next-generation spatial computing glasses ahead of their expected Fall 2026 launch.

Indian customers can reserve priority access to XREAL AURA for ₹4,999. Fore Excel is offering an additional ₹5,000 bonus credit, taking the total advance credit to ₹9,999 toward the eventual purchase.

Final Indian pricing has not yet been announced. Fore Excel says the base-model price will not exceed ₹1,45,000 plus applicable GST, with final configurations and pricing expected closer to launch.

XREAL AURA brings Android XR and Gemini to a glasses-style device

Unlike conventional smart glasses focused primarily on notifications, cameras or audio, XREAL AURA is being positioned as a portable spatial computing platform.

The device runs Android XR and integrates Google's Gemini AI assistant.

Its glasses feature a 70-degree optical see-through display, allowing digital content to appear within the user's view while keeping the physical environment directly visible.

AURA also supports hand tracking and six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) spatial tracking, enabling digital content to remain positioned relative to the user's physical surroundings.

Gemini on Android XR adds an AI layer to the experience, with the system designed to provide contextual assistance through voice and multimodal interaction.

A separate compute puck handles the heavy processing

One of AURA's most notable design choices is its split-compute architecture.

Rather than placing all processing hardware and battery requirements inside the glasses, XREAL pairs the wearable with a dedicated compute puck.

The puck uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite platform, while the glasses incorporate XREAL's X1S Spatial Coprocessor for low-latency spatial display and sensor processing.

Separating the computing workload is intended to balance performance, thermal requirements and wearability while still providing the processing capabilities required for Android XR applications.

AURA can also connect to PCs, laptops and compatible handheld gaming systems.

From personal cinema to spatial workspace

XREAL is targeting several use cases with AURA.

Users can create private virtual displays for watching video and gaming or extend a laptop environment into a larger spatial workspace.

The Android XR ecosystem also opens the device to conventional Google Play applications alongside applications specifically designed for XR experiences.

For developers, the arrival of another Android XR device creates an additional hardware platform for building applications spanning entertainment, productivity, education, AI-assisted experiences and spatial interfaces.

Fore Excel opens India pre-bookings

Fore Excel, which is handling XREAL AURA distribution in India, has opened reservations through its dedicated XREAL India platform.

Under the current offer, customers pay ₹4,999 to reserve the device and receive an additional ₹5,000 Fore Excel bonus, providing ₹9,999 in total advance credit.

Final pricing, configurations and delivery information will be announced closer to the product's Indian launch.

The combination of optical see-through displays, multimodal AI and increasingly capable wearable processors is pushing smart glasses toward becoming computing platforms rather than simple smartphone accessories.

For XREAL, Android XR and Gemini provide the software and AI layer, while the company's optical hardware and Qualcomm's processing platform handle the spatial-computing experience.

Whether devices such as AURA can move spatial computing beyond early adopters will ultimately depend on factors including comfort, application availability, battery life and final pricing.
