Bengaluru-based Krutrim AI has raised $150 million in a Series C round led by General Catalyst, valuing the company at $1 billion and making it India newest AI unicorn.
The funding will expand the GPU cluster from 2,000 to 10,000 units, hire 500 AI researchers globally, and launch enterprise APIs for businesses building Indian-language AI applications.
"Every Indian deserves AI that speaks their language," said the CEO.
